@Mik said in Grill time: they’re usually marinated already and I never trust them. Yes the pre-marinated is always suspect; we used to be able to find them at Trader Joe's but always marinated and too much of the fat was trimmed off, just not the same. There is a meat market a little closer and I was able to ask them to cut it for me but the next time I went in they said they don't do that anymore I was spoiled in California and Colorado, you could find decent ones in the grocery but my sister tells me even in Colorado that is getting more difficult.

Our crack FBI agents can raid Trump's residence to obtain documents in a locked closet (where they specified the lock), but they can't infiltrate Antifa or charge any of their members with domestic terrorism. Somebody is paying for the airline tickets, the accommodations and the other expenses of these professional "protesters" . I'd like to know where the money is coming from and I'd like to hold those people accountable.

My brothers and I were very average at basketball but I do remember when I was about 9, my dad got us the movie "Pistol: Birth of a Legend" as well as had us attend a Pistol Pete basketball came for a year or two. Pete's work ethic and practicing the fundamentals of finger pad control, backspin, follow through, combined with his use of new "trick" moves were quite an inspiration on how to play really good ball. It's a shame he died so young, but your reference to his 44 PPG is just bananas and reminds us of how dominant he was a shooter.

Late to the party but, are the LEDs or their ballast/electronics replaceable? They do not last forever. We have the old two vertical fluorescent bulb type from the 1950s versions like you pictured. I like them because the bulbs and ballasts are cheap and they last about 10 years or more before needing replacing. But you can replace them.

@Copper said in Gray: Some do a better, more natural, job of aging. Clint Eastwood is one who comes to mind. Maybe Diane Keaton, Al Pacino, George Clooney (maybe a little) I think it is more "accepted" for guys to age than for females.

Don't waste your time on this one. Waltz is great, and the rest of the cast is pretty good as well. All this really needed was a comprehensible story.

Remington reopening that factory means a lot, for both sportsmen and defense. Like many other businesses, the ammo biz has consolidated. Remington, Federal and CCI are owned by Vista. Their main competitor would be Winchester, owned by Olin. Hornady would be a smaller competitor, along with the small brands of Cor-Bon, etc. But we have a bottleneck...Primers. Only Vista and Olin make primers in the U.S., AFAIK. Previously, reloaders and small manufacturers could source primers from other sources, such as Serbia (Prvi Partizen), Norma (Sweden) or Russia (Tula). For obvious reasons, much of the European supply is unavailable. I'm hoping that opening the Remington factory means the domestic primer problem has gotten better. I think it's one more reason we need to take a look at monopolies, industry consolidation and domestic manufacturing of strategic components. Too many points of failure...

@89th said in DC Defenders: Funny, I have a buddy who has been talking up the DC Defenders for a while now. I always thought he was joking but he seems to be serious... The game yesterday was between two of the league's better teams. It ain't the NFL, but it's not bad. I've seen a few games and they've mostly been pretty competitive. Some of the rules are a little different. I think some are better. Kickoffs are different, and much safer. No kicking for extra points, instead they have a one-point, two-point or three-point conversion, starting at the two, five and ten yard-lines. Teams have a choice between trying for an on-side kick, or getting the ball on their own 35, Fourth and 15. The last two minutes of each half have college clock rules - the clock stops on a first down to move the chains.
