My vet (pretty blonde gal) rides a white mule. The mule is also broke to harness and she'll hitch him up to a buggy occasionally. I keep picking at her about when she's finally going to start roping off of him...

Jeff Ireland. Jeff is the guy who runs the scouts and player personnel for the Saints. Remember his name. Mickey Loomis may have the longest tenure at GM in the NFL. He is also the GM of the NO Pelicans in the NBA. Lots of talk about Mickey going to Denver or throttling back to just the Pelicans. Either way, Ireland will be a GM in the next few years.

They're greedy, though. Too many commercials. One they didn't mention was FreeVee. IMDB had started an ad supported streaming service that Amazon bought and added more content. At least the commercials seem to be a bit less. Another is YouTube. I think YT may have a couple of hundred (or more) movies streaming for free on its YouTube Movies channel. Not quite as many commercials as Tubi. And many of the individual channels on YT will have older content...But again, I've noticed more and longer ad breaks across the board.

@LuFins-Dad said in Refrigerate or no?: What about cakes with frosting? That’s the one Karla and I disagree with each other about. She always refrigerates cakes and I think it ruins them… It depends on the cake and frosting, but on the whole I agree with you.

Love ramen. Tonkatsu is probably my favorite. I think I've mentioned before that we have become pretty good at making it at home. My youngest daughter used to have a thing in high school called "Shoyu the Ramen". As for Cup of Noodles...instant ramen is so bad for you. I knew people in college who developed stomach problems from eating it too much.

@Doctor-Phibes thanks for the advice. I remember reading something about that a few years ago but needed a reminder in the event we attempt to switch foods. The breeder highly recommended this brand and recipe for the breed. It's really all he has known aside from the very rare instance when we ran out or when he get freeze dried liver treats and other "treats" like people food that gets "dropped" on occasion. He happily eats this dry food.

@bachophile said in Denton Cooley: DeBakey I worked at Ross Perot companies for 30 years. Ross was friends with Doctor DeBakey. When an employee or an employee's family member got very sick Ross would send them to Dr. DeBakey. That was a real morale boost for anyone who heard the stories. Of course corporate health insurance doesn't work like this anymore.

@Renauda said in While we're on the subject of bread...: Also saw “veterinarian chiros” work on horses back in the day. Didn’t do anything, other make the owner feel good about doing something. In fact, I saw more gimpy horses straightened out by the ferrier giving a good hoof trim or corrective shoeing. QFT.

@Klaus said in Who Dis?: You know, I hate these "Who dis" threads where at the end everybody agrees that this was easy, but no resolution is ever given and I have no clue ... I find that using Google image search before I post how it was too easy helps a lot.
