Looks on its face pretty weak and political. We shall see.

Yeah even the term "fringe benefits" doesn't hold much weight in headlines. That being said, not sure why anyone would be in a leadership role in anything associated with Trump... the sheer number of people associated with Trump who have been arrested, fired, charged, quit, disbarred, jailed....

Do you think that is because of bad practices or politics? I'd say the latter.

The attention is absolutely due to politics (self-inflicted, I might add 😉 ), but the charges are due to bad practices, even if they are common among large organizations.

This is the kind of thinking that results from a combination of being educated beyond your intelligence and the lack of wisdom that comes with your age range.

"The attention is due to politics"... yes, and it's so obvious that even you, as jaundiced as you are regarding Trump, have no choice but to concede. That's the ONLY part you got correct, however. What follows is part jab him in the eye, and part ignorance of how things work.

"Self inflicted, I might add" .... right -it's Trumps fault that a Trump hating NY prosecutor is using the power of her position to go after Trump. If you understood the next oart, youd understand this one too.

"But the charges are due to bad practices".,,,, dead wrong, kid. People who spend their lives working in an office, or some other similar situation where you have a job because someone else created it don't understand this. But people who create jobs and businesses understand this completely. "Didn't pay taxes on fringe benefits" actually means "we set out determined to find where he did something to avoid paying taxes, but couldn't find a damned thing. So rather than admit the organization paid all it's taxes where due, we went after intangible things that most people not pay taxes on either, things where the value is subjective, etc. rather than admit defeat."

"Didn't pay taxes on fringe benefits" my ass. The Trump hating crowd will suck this up like a sponge though, and long after the intelligent people have stopped discussing the fact that this NY prosecutor should be disbarred and removed from office, the Trump haters everywhere will still be talking about how Trump was charged with failing to pay taxes........

The dumb shit that comes out of Trump haters just never ends..

                          From the RWEC:

All corporations, including the WP, NYT, should now be investigated to make sure that no executives ever get free stuff, like country club dues or special transportation without paying income and payroll taxes.

Since the Trump organization got in trouble for paying private tuition, every university that gives free or subsidized tuition to its administrators and professors will now be charged with a crime and the perk will be cut off. Does anyone think that will happen?

Every airline that gives free flights to its employees and family members will have to stop giving that perk, won't they since there is no legitimate business purpose for that expense?

Pelosi and other members of Congress will now have to pay full freight every time a family member goes on a flight on a government owned plane. Why do taxpayers have to pay for this largesse in the first place?

The bill to Joe Biden and the government will be massive for all the flights Hunter took on Air Force 2 as he was going overseas to line up as many kickbacks as he could from foreign countries and companies. After all, Joe said he never talked with Hunter about anything concerning his business dealings so there is no way his presence on all those flights could have had any legitimate business purpose.

Hillary, Biden, Lois Lerner, Comey, McCabe, Holder and others could violate as many laws as they liked with no repercussions, but the Trump organization is charged with paying inappropriate perks? As the media and other Democrats continue to pretend that no one is above the law.

My understanding is that they're charge with not paying or reporting the tax due on said perks.

They have found more evidence that President Uncle Joe attended business meetings with Hunter in foreign countries with proxy government officials, and this is what is being reported?

My former employers were very aware of when an expense reimbursement was compensatory.

For example, we would work at a client site and were allowed to fly home on weekends. As a perk, you could choose to fly somewhere else instead of home as long as it was the same price or less. But it was compensatory.

Same with firm-provided housing if you didn't keep your own home elsewhere.

I've paid taxes on both of the above over the years.

                                      Only non-witches get due process.

                                        This does smell political though.

$1.7M over 15 years is not a lot of money for a senior exec.

Doesn’t feel like enough to commit egregious crimes over. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some careless, or even willful rule bending.

But doesn’t seem like a big deal.
