It's a Saturday night, and I've been cooking ...

    Murgh Kari (Chicken Curry) and fresh Naan. Cooking for three is still darn easy, even though it's not so often I get to cook for the kiddo now.

    The curry is simmering and the Naan dough is rising. I'll cook the Naan in a large cast iron pan, shaping the next piece while one is cooking, then buttering the finished Naan and keeping them warm until serving. With a double batch of curry and a triple batch of Naan, we should have plenty for a second dinner early next week.

    Also made the Neopolitan pizza dough for tomorrow night's dinner. That one will be easy peasy. Sauce is made, cheese is grated, and the rest of the toppings will go quickly.

    What's your weekend looking like?

      We ordered in Chinese, LOL.

      Mrs. George (who has no sense of adventure) had chop suey.

      I had Mongolian beef (I LOVE spicy) with an egg roll.

      Yeah, we're boring.

      Tomorrow, we're going to see D4 and SIL. D2-D4 are going to join us, and we're having brats, burgers and beer.

        Sounds delicious, Brenda. I tried making butter chicken once in the instant pot. Didn't turn out too well. Tonight I'll make a big choice porterhouse I got at the local supermarket for 6 bucks a pound. Too good a deal to pass up. I'll put Traeger molasses/chili pepper beef rub on it. I'll have to try to other Traeger rubs, because this one is delicious.

        Education is extremely important.

          Simple & cheap. Smoked leg quarters, a pasta salad, some fresh yeast bread and a blueberry (I picked some yesterday) cobbler for dessert.

            We've never had the Traeger rubs. If you say they're good, I need to check out some for hubby. Thanks, Horace!

                  Let's just keep this amongst ourselves for now. We don't need a big surge in gin purchases and prices. That would interfere with my scientific research.

                      I actually spent the evening recording a finalist for the Junior International E-Piano Competition. Didnโ€™t finish until 10:30 so I met up with Karla for a quick cheesesteak and salad. I am tired and have to get up at 7, but you gotta eat, right?
