That's very sad news. So sorry for your loss. Travel is so difficult right now. Will you be making a trip back?

Thanks all, I do appreciate it. I don't think I'll be able to make the funeral. There might not even be a proper funeral, I'm not sure how it works at the moment. What I'd like to do is maybe get together with family later in the year.
I should probably have waited a couple of days before posting about this, but I kind of wanted to say something.

Very sorry to hear about your mom, Phibes. The family gathering later in the year sounds like a good plan. Best to your family.

What everyone else has said, Phibes. So sorry that she's passed away. Losing a parent is always rough. Condolences to the entire Phibes family.
I don't know if you've ever mentioned, do you have siblings?

Thanks again, all.
George - I've got a brother, he's two years younger than me, and lives in Manchester, about an hour from my mum's. He's really been knocking himself out helping her out for the last five years, and it's been increasingly tough for him, particularly as they've got a relatively young family, so hopefully now he can spend more time with his kids.

Peace.
A celebration of her life later has it upsides and can be something to look forward to.

My condolences, Tim. I have not had to face this yet but can only imagine the loss. My wife's mother just passed in February.

Losing a loved one is hard. I'm sorry for your loss, Doctor Phibes.
When a loved one passes away, you have to go through a grieving process. Going through it can be hard at times.
