The gallery’s behavior is abominable.
Do you mean after the incredible shot from the bunker? Or was there something after he won?

I absolutely loved the crowds reaction and support for Phil. Sure there were a few folks there who were over served but no foul... folks were quiet during the shots and absolutely bonkers as Phil made history. I really enjoyed watching the swarm of fans on the 18th hole... terrific and instant classic golf moment.

There are a couple problems with the swarm
There was very little security to protect Mickelson and Koepka and their caddies, Phil got a few guys to help him, but from what I saw the others were on their own.
I haven't read about this yet, but a guy told me that Koepka's caddie got punched in the face and that more than one person hit/kicked Koepka's bad knee that recently had surgery.
And the game wasn't over at that point. Phil only won by a stroke, there could have been a real problem if someone was hurt.

He won by 2 strokes. The match was over as soon as Phil landed his shot on the green. Koepka is a classic heel who can’t take what he dishes out and whines about the crowd and his knee.

So with all this talk of him being an old timer, I look him up and he’s 2 years younger than me.

Speaking old timers, the average age of the CNN viewer is 64. MSN is 68 and Fox is 65. A Cadillac owner is 56! Now you should feel really young.

Phil’s biggest prize may be the automatic entry to the US Open and get one title that has eluded him. Can an old man do back to back?

Nope, would be fun but nope. Poor dude has come in 2nd place SIX times in that event.

Trump and Mickelson are neck and neck for biggest losers on the planet.
Trump's not a loser, he's right up there with Franklin Pierce, Pehr Svinhufvud, Aden Abdulle Osman Daar, and other household names who have changed the world in their only term. Look how many times he won impeachment, Horace, Donald Trump is anything but a loser.
-
I wish I came in second in the Open 6 times.
Jack has 19 major second place finishes (Phil 11).
I wish I had 19 major second place finishes.

I would be happy with one.
As far as the age thing, I really don’t see how his age is really that much of a detriment to him yet. Maybe the young guys fan drive the ball 20 yards farther, but I have to figure experience and skill makesup the difference.

Plus, he's never lost a game of golf, if you believe what you read.

Would have been interesting if President Trump would have been able to play Premier Kim Jong Il of the DPRK.

One of golf’s greatest feats is to shoot one’s age.So, imagine how spectacular a day Kim Jong-Il had back in 1994. The North Korean dictator, who died on Saturday of heart failure at age 69, scorched the 7,700-yard Pyongyang Golf Course in a stunning 38-under par, 34.
Now, before getting all bent out of shape that such a score is impossible or clearly the product of creative scorekeeping on the part of the “Dear Leader,” it’s important to note that witnesses attest to his great round.
According to reports, Kim, who was 52 at the time, carded no worse than a birdie on any hole at the country’s only golf club. He also had five holes-in-one in the round, which was witnessed by 17 armed bodyguards.
“He is an excellent golfer,” Park Young Man, the club professional, told the International Herald Tribune a couple of months after Kim’s historic round, which was widely-reported in North Korea’s state-controlled media.
Good thing for Tiger Woods and his contemporaries Kim spent his time serving his people because clearly he could have ruled the PGA Tour too.
UNQUOTESupposedly, it was the first time he had ever golfed!!!
