Posted about this in some other vaccine thread. They will also give away a four year full ride scholarship to any state school each week.

Plus all mandates go away 6/2 and we withdraw from Federal unemployment subsidies 6/26.

Lotteries are proven to work so that’s great. Thinking about this Ohio gets to pocket half the money on the ticket and then the federal government pays the rest right?

Though in fairness, one commenter pointed out that the day he announced the lottery they also opened vaccines to 12+, so it's unclear how much of the surge is attributable to each factor.

                  Pretty sharp increase.

From what I’ve seen, other states without a reward program have also had a large increase. Still, I like it better than “a shot and a beer”...

Well the real question is whether the person getting the vaccine picks the same lottery numbers each day they get the vaccine. Right @LuFins-Dad

It is sad how people are motivated by a million dollars.

Isn’t it just redeploying dollars from one group to another?

Sounds like a better use of the incentive pool but there are losers correct?
