1000 Banks

If you haven't noticed, Chase is/has closed 1000 branch banks in the last 30 days or so. They say due to COVID.

I say, phooey.

I haven't been into a physical bank in about 2 years.

I appreciate I'm a little unusual, but I'm not that unusual. It's a little surprising there are as many left as there are.

I can’t remember the last time I was in a bank, seriously.

Same here, except to walk into the outer lobby of the bank across the street to use the ATM.

Which I'm also doing a lot less than I used to. I don't remember the last time I used cash.

COVID fallout. Whole lot of folks have realized they don't need all these physical locations.

I was in a Chase branch Monday. I occasionally get out more cash than the machines allow.

Yeah, we like to always have a decent stash of cash around.

My local chase branch, just a few blocks away, recently moved from one side of the street to the other. The new location is very nice, but still no safe deposit boxes. I have to go 20 miles away for the first Chase with boxes.
