https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/brooklyn-center-shooting-protests-minneapolis-suburb/
Police in a Minneapolis suburb say an officer fatally shot a driver Sunday, leading to clashes between protesters and law enforcement, CBS Minnesota reports. The death of the man, identified by family as Daunte Wright, and ensuing unrest came in the midst of the Derek Chauvin trial for the killing of George Floyd.
Police said officers in the city of Brooklyn Center pulled over a driver they'd determined had an outstanding warrant just before 2 p.m. Police said when they tried to arrest him, he got back in his vehicle and drove away. An officer fired at the vehicle, hitting the driver. Police said the vehicle traveled several blocks before hitting another one. No one in that second vehicle was hurt.
The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said officers were believed to be wearing activated body cameras at the time of the shooting.
A crowd began to gather at the crash scene later in the afternoon. Just after 6 p.m., protesters tore down crime scene tape, with the crowd and the victim's family demanding answers from law enforcement.

Allegedly the police threatened the army lieutenant (who got pulled over) to never speak of the incident or they will ruin his military career.
Million dollar law suit filed as a result.

This all ends where police use of force becomes an outmoded concept. Too many people too willing to test the boundaries of suicide by cop, and a culture fully engorged at the prospect of pronouncing every suicide by cop to be our most important systemic societal evil.

If we want the best people to become first responders, public denigration of the profession is probably not the logical first step.

Austin has about 60 vacancies right now, with more coming. Even though musicians are now able to play some live gigs, security is becoming a horrible problem.
Cops are not responding to calls in a timely manner, either through too few officers or too much don't -give-a- damn. Nowdays, they mostly call the ambulances and write up the report.

I am sure Ax has thought through his trolling and is deeply concerned about the dead black people that will result from the pop culture ideas he throws around.

But seriously...Without sheepdogs, it's open season on the sheep...

I am still reserving judgment, waiting for more investigation and more information to come to light.

I absolutely believe that. Watch the video. She announces she has a taser when she pulls her gun, then she's yelling a warning "TASER! TASER! TASER" to her partner when she fires.

That's what it sounds like, as soon as she shot she said "holy s***"
Then I think she said "I just shot him"

Yeah that's as clear as day. She says taser taser taser! Then realizes...shit, that wasn't a taser. CLEARLY an accident, but I doubt the mob will start to listen to reason now.

Let's say that the officer meant to fire her taser but mistakenly fired her gun instead. Now what?
Imagine for a moment the person thus killed was your brother or your son, are you going to look at this one fact that "the officer mistook up her gun for her taser" and tell yourself "well that's life" and let it be the end of it all?
Change that perspective again and try to imagine yourself as the police captain or the police chief, you learnt that an officer on your force mistook her gun for a taser and unintentionally killed a person as a result. Are you going to tell yourself "well that's life" and let it be the end of it all?
One last one, imagine yourself to be the person who mistook your gun for a taser and you killed another person with it. Would you expect to just say "oops" and that will be end of it all?
