Nobody who claims to understand it has ever been able to explain bitcoin to me so that I can understand it. Admittedly, I felt much the same way about quantum mechanics, although at least in that case the professional dorks could back up their claim with third order non-linear differential equations.

So either I'm really stupid or they don't actually get it. Obviously, both could also be true.

    I was only joking

One classical use case is that bitcoin would be a currency that would survive the collapse of fiat currencies. Thus "digital gold".

      Education is extremely important.

I'm actually glad it's dying a quick death rather than building up slowly so that more people eventually get burned.

Yeah, that initial burst was probably from the cohort that made a fortune reselling his sneakers.

More than 813,000 crypto wallets have lost a total of $2 billion after buying President Donald Trump’s memecoin, according to an assessment by Chainalysis commissioned by the New York Times. Meanwhile, the Trump Organization and its partners gained $100 million in trading fees. Since its Jan. 17 launch, $TRUMP has lost most of its value, which is now about $16 per share, down from its $75 peak.

Sorry Jolly, we’re not changing the subject. It is objectively gross the way he repeatedly fleeces his sheep and at some level you must see through it.

I just hope you haven’t bought into any of his grifts yourself.

You changed the subject way back in the thread, since the thread was about the Biden Crime Family.

                        All pardoned now, btw.

My personal view is he would have pardoned Hunter in any case. And his brother was in fact under investigation by his own DoJ (imagine that happening to a Trump family member under Bondi - lol). So maybe that one too.

Again, I think he would have pardoned his son and maybe his brother. The other preemptive ones? No.

Those double standards are a little bit blatant. Trump did not introduce the concept of politically motivated prosecutions. In general, when someone tells you what they're terrified their enemy will do to them, that's what they'll do to their enemy, if given a chance. In this case, it's what the left already did to Trump that they're afraid of.
