Just got my first professional haircut in over a year. Feels great. MFR has been cutting it and doing a pretty good job, but it terrifies her every time.
Like a robin in the spring, a small sign of normalcy.
It is a great thing. Mrs. Phibes did mine a couple of times, then her hairdresser offered to open up specially for us, which was really nice of her. She'd gone through a really tough time, and we'd bought a couple of gift tokens to try and help a bit, without really intending to ever use them, and then Mrs. Phibes fixed some clothing for her, so she drove in and cut our hair. I wore a mask, but she sliced right through it

Yep. I paid my guy for the last year of cuts I did not get today. It seemed a proper use of the money the government has showered on us.

We're trying to find things to do with ours that will actually benefit the people who need it. I think it's the best thing we can do with the money. I find the whole concept of cash handouts to people who don't actually need them really appalling. It seems like such a lazy solution.
Of course, some of it's going to go on a car, if I ever go back to work. But we already bailed out General Motors once.

Remember - the Scottish economy is really struggling at the moment. Those small-business guys out in the highlands and islands really need your help.
