I think it actually grows the party. Trump was effective at attracting traditional Dem voters. That trend has to continue...

It needs a better spokesman, but the die is already cast. I think it will be good as long as they stick to sensible ideas. It will be a much more moderate party than anyone believes.

As long as President Trump is the #1 person in the party, I dont think that they will be effective.

I did not, but Hillary Clinton was such a terrible candidate, that it was not a super super big surprise.

Ini 2016, the election should have been pretty easy for the Democrat to win. They didn't.

In 2020, the election should have been pretty easy for the Republic to win. They didn't.

What is the saying about learning from mistakes? I guess neither party can do it.

Easy?

COVID? Economic turmoil? Anything like that make any difference?

Definitely. In my belief, the only reason that President Trump lost was because of COVID. But I also believe that while COVID was the event, his handling of the event was the eventual cause of his losing.

Whichever party pivots first to standing for common sense, moderate policies, rejecting dishonesty/swamp tactics, oh and the Latino vote... will win the long game.

Do not blame the media. The voters are the ones casting the votes. The voters should take responsibility for the results. Heck, come to think of it, the voters are also the ones choosing which media to pay attention too. The voters have no one to blame but themselves if they don’t like the people they voted into positions of power.

Exactly. Where do think most voters are getting their info? The media is the root of most societal ills these days, IMO.
