The double standard by the media has been immediately solidified already. Cages... falling on the stairs... would be covered so much differently had it been Trump.

I'm old enough to remember white lefties claiming that "kids in cages" were their red-line issue and that anybody who supported Trump in the face of it was morally bankrupt and deserved the social death penalty.

        Education is extremely important.

And I saw you rolling like a dog in green cowshit with every new Trump possible gaffe, whether it be true or not. If you ain't part of the solution, maybe you were part of the problem, hmmm...

By the way, AOC has tweeted about the border crisis challenge since Biden took office exactly .... twice.

Not that I'm cynical, but, it's almost like she was using this for political purposes.

If Donald Trump was a more effective politician - he probably had the best chance in recent history to get some meaningful immigration law in place.

Most Americans (and I think most democrats - though I'm not sure) - are in favor of border controls and not having "open borders".

He just needed to get people pinned down on what they meant and force dems to vote on it.

But it was all wall all the time.

He put his pulse on many issues that ma plurality of Americans agreed with. Just, such a bad, bad politician.

Utter nonsense. None of his recent predecessors were able to get anything through Congress wither.

@mik I know that. I'm saying he had the best chance. He could have forced dems into somewhat of a corner, he never even put them on their back foot.

To be clear - I think a lot of people voted for him because they thought our border policy has been stupid and at least Trump was calling it stupid.

The wall (I think) was always a red herring. That's not the solution, but it was a good way to get energy around his border message.

In practice - he never really evolved beyond the wall.

Not really, check the tape. My main criticisms of Trump surrounded his fumbling/lying regarding COVID-19, and much more importantly his lying and refusal to accept his landslide loss. I actually said many times I thought Trump did a lot of great/conservative things, but the lying/refusal to accept his loss was politically unforgivable.

If you said something dishonest, yes.

Being called a liar isn't an insult, it's an objective description of a person's behavior. In your case, if you don't think he was cheated, but said you did (as you did just now), you would be lying about your feelings. I have to presume you honestly think he was cheated, therefore you aren't lying about your opinion.

Trump, however, said dozens, hundreds, thousands of lies. Not just stated as opinion, but as fact. Spouting off so many untruths makes him, objectively, a liar.

And I saw you rolling like a dog in green cowshit with every new Trump possible gaffe, whether it be true or not. If you ain't part of the solution, maybe you were part of the problem, hmmm...

                                    I think he was cheated.

You want to call me a liar?

If you said something dishonest, yes.

Being called a liar isn't an insult, it's an objective description of a person's behavior. In your case, if you don't think he was cheated, but said you did (as you did just now), you would be lying about your feelings. I have to presume you honestly think he was cheated, therefore you aren't lying about your opinion.

I do agree with this. He entered in 2016 with majority in Congress.

He was like a boulder on a hill. Once he started moving, he was unable to "adapt" or modify his course, even if he was on the wrong path. HIs diplomatic skills seem to be almost zero. That may work short term, but any major things needed do require some diplomacy.

By the way, AOC has tweeted about the border crisis challenge since Biden took office exactly .... twice.

Not that I'm cynical, but, it's almost like she was using this for political purposes.

From the RWEC: "Why has AOC gone AWOL now, when this crisis gives her a perfect opportunity to build some credibility as an activist? One has to wonder whether she’s looking for a position in the Biden administration, or whether she has some trouble heading her way and wants to lower her profile ahead of it. If it’s not either of those, then the only answer is that AOC’s an opportunist when opportunism involves zero cost. And that might be the simplest answer of all."
