Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

I expect him to be a bit more firm. Right now, getting an answer out of him is like trying to nail jello to a wall.

What will eventually happen, is that people will get on with their lives and totally ignore anything he or anybody in the government has to say on the matter.

Normalcy is just another word for ‘ignoring the CDC’, at least their more conservative advice. I mean, before Covid how many of us refrained from eating runny eggs or burgers that weren’t well done?

          Only non-witches get due process.

Have any weddings that have actually been put on hold, or are we just looking for stuff to get pissed about because fuck Fauci?

            Please love yourself.

I'm still waiting for someone to set some reasonable and specific goals that would allow the weddings.

But it seems to still be based on the whims of the moment.

Ok, I guess flatten the curve was a goal, but I mean since then.

But I'll be honest, I really don't know how big a deal that is. That's not code for "I don't think that it is," I'm saying my ability to objectively gauge COVID-related issues is completely compromised.

On the one hand, I have several friends who are in the same wedding holding pattern. Putting life events on hold really sucks. Absolutely it does. I can see that in principle, anyway.

On the other hand, I had to cut some boards over the weekend. To reinforce my doors. Oh and I changed my locks. To protect myself from crazy-fuck relatives who have absolutely no respect for others' safety ("If no one else is vaccinated that's their own problem, what does it matter what happens to them"—direct quote). My phone was ready to call 911. So you know what, today I'm having a hard time giving much of a shit what Fauci is or is not saying in the news about weddings today.

                      Please love yourself.

What I'm saying, is that COVID fatigue has set in and is rapidly getting worse.

Officers are taught in the military to not give an order that will be totally ignored. I think Biden's silliness about July 4th barbecues and Fauci's utterances on June Weddings are engendering a massive middle finger response from the public-at-large.

I think the only thing that can ease some of the hardening of the public's position, are some concrete numbers, such as "When vaccination numbers hit xyz%, this, this and this will be ok.

Hard to tell people to have patience, when you keep moving the goalposts, or worse, admitting there are no goalposts...

Msybe he could just talk inane bollocks for hours on end, and go on about what a really great job he's doing.

That approach seems to keep some people happy.

The thing about unpredictable situations is they're quite hard to predict.

It's the same story, president says one thing, Fauci says another. One might think they'd get their stories straight first. After all, that's what Biden ran on, y'know?

Gibberish is gibberish, no matter if it's coming from Fauci or you.

Fauci isn't talking gibberish, he's saying he doesn't know.

                                I was only joking

                                  What?

                                  St. Fauci doesn't know!

Be still, heretic, or we'll burn you at the stake!

Saying 'I don't know' really isn't a problem, unless you're massively insecure and trying to pretend you're a lot smarter or knowledgeable than you actually are.

That's correct. And that statement is always right.

But, when everyone hangs on every word you say, it sort of undermines your credibility when you have to reverse yourself.
"Were you right then, or are you right now? Or, maybe, you just didn't know?"

"We don't need masks" morphed into "maybe two masks are better, it makes sense."

Had he said, "I don't know" back then, he would have earned a lot more respect.

                                        But he didn't.

For the record, I don't know either. But I'm an ignoranus, and proud of it, I might add.

You would have found it an issue a few month ago.
