“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

        Yes and no

Yes, because of course you should be able to do that

No, because it gives you the idea that something like this new law should be necessary

@copper I know this is probably apple/orange comparison, but I will ask just to make the conversation

          If I understand correctly

Carry a gun - no permit, no ID, etc needed to do so

Should not the same right go with voting?

          Why or why not?

            You can only vote once

You can carry the gun as many times as you want

Don't have any problem with it. The right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed, and all that. The only reason that a law-abiding citizen should not carry a gun, is if A) he doesn't want to, or B) He is precluded by law from doing so (convicted felon, mental patient, etc.)

The only place I see compromise, if our representatives agree that in order to buy a gun, you must show proof of a safety and legal ramifications class. I don't have a problem with that.

Federal judge rules Oregon’s tough new gun law is constitutional

Big whoop. Consider the judge, consider the law. It will be overturned by SCOTUS, at least parts of it. They may get to keep the background check and training components.
