SD Cards

Yeah, yeah...You want to go into the nobody owns actual paper shares argument. The stocks can go away, I can still feed my family. And no, all my money is not in the bank.
OK, from that statement I take it you do not take physical possession of stock and bond certificates. And, news flash, no one has all their money in the bank anyway. Even the most ardent advocates for “cashless society” keep a few bucks at home to tip the delivery guy and for emergencies. So your statement about not putting all your money in the bank is rather vacuous.
Back to the stock ownership question. You gotta think deeper than “paper shares”. Even if you physically own the stock and bond certificates, what does “ownership” mean when the “stock” merely represents fractions of some collections of assets none of which you possess physically, what does “ownership” mean when the “bond” merely represent I.O.U.s?
Again, if the cloud goes away tomorrow, can you keep your family warm, fed and safe?
Sure.
How?

How did we get from "What are the advantages of SD cards"? to "Can you still feed your family if the shit hits the fan"?
The miracle of TNCR.
One of the things I really like about this forum.
Opening a thread is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to read!! 555

Another thing that challenges the traditional notion of “ownership”:

Digital items digitally, cryptographically signed as having been sold and “belonging” to someone.

Just keep your stuff copied locally
I have my stuff "in the cloud" via Apple's iCloud service. My home folder, documents, photos, etc.
Oh...all that shit is also backed up to an external hard drive too, just in case.
No, wait...two external hard drive.
Not that I'm paranoid.

My work crap is on Adobe cloud + an external.
Personal stuff is on iCloud + external.
Photos are Adobe + external. -
Me too.

I don't have any data I couldn't easily live without.

Why bother with backups? We all die soon anyway.
Are you kidding me?? All my family and friends will be fighting over access and biographers will be screaming over access and Hollywood screenwriters will want all that content.
Proof of my existence is how I have been spending my whole life! Others may not be so interested now but just wait until I die. Boy will they be sorry, the least I can do is forgive them by having my stuff available.
