Exciting development!
So you're, what, fostering them while y'all decide if the fit is right? Or is it a done-deal adoption?
Keep us posted, k?

Mik, you will enjoy this all the more now that you're retired. My kiddo has a friend with two cats and a dog. The youngest cat adores the dog. The cat is growing up and getting quite big, but the dog is enormous. It's fun to see how they've become best buddies. You may see the same thing with these two.

Mik
Will they let you keep the animals on a trial basis to see how it will work out?
BTW that cat you lost out on is beautiful.

D1 adopted a cat from a shelter. It was the most annoying, obnoxious, destructive thing. She took it back after a week with no issue. She did adopt another one at that time, and it's worked out great.

Mik, reeeaaally think twice about getting a longhair. They are beautiful to look at, but their hair gets into everything and I mean EVERYTHING. You will in short order forget what it had been like to not have their hair on every. Single. Surface.
