Hubby and I figure July at the earliest, more likely to be August, even September. Neither one of us is in any of the special categories for age, occupation, race, etc. I might have a slight advantage in that I turn 60 before hubby does.

Our doctor told us she reckoned it would be April.
I'm thinking July/August, too.

I’m guessing by July vaccines will be immediately available for all comers.
I think one of the wildcards is what they’re going to do about age breakdown under 65. Will they then treat everyone the same? Will they prioritize 55-65? Will they prioritize 50-65?
I think there’s a good case to be made for them to do 50-65 next. It’s a big cohort, but nowhere near as big as ‘everybody else’. So it allows them to phase the rollout a bit more so as not to overwhelm the reservation system so much. Also it buys more time before they open the spigot all the way, during which much more supply will come online.

I’m hoping they will figure out by the time my time comes if one shot if sufficient for those who have had it or not.

As some one who is "not old", not "frontline essential worker," and "no comorbidity, no preexisting condition", I expect to be in the last group with everybody else. So ... uhm ... July/August if not later?

The Johnson and Johnson vaccine will move up the time considerably. I think you’ll be able to get it at your doctor’s office by July. Unless of course your doctor is Dr. Jill Biden, because well... You know.

We are only a month behind the UK approval?! As we are projecting another 100k deaths (2x the Vietnam war!) and we obsess over avoidable deaths I don’t get it all.

I estimate I'll get it within a month or so.
I had to wait for 30 days since the covid fever, but now time is up.
My pcp seems to be getting a supply weekly, but it is unpredictable.

Minnesoooooota Governor announcing today:
• By April, vaccines will be available to Minnesotans with medical conditions that put them in the most extreme high-risk category if they get COVID-19, and certain frontline workers who are most at risk of contracting the virus.
• By May, the vaccine will be available for Minnesotans with other medical conditions that put them at heightened risk, additional frontline essential workers and Minnesotans 50+ living in multi-generational housing.
• By late spring, the vaccine will be available for Minnesotans age 18 and older with medical conditions, all adults age 50-64, and all other essential workforces.
• Beginning this summer, all Minnesotans will have access to the vaccine.Looks like June for hubby and me, if all goes as planned. This is only a rough timeline for the state. Could very well still be in July as I first estimated

Ah, I (selfishly) hope they do that here so Rachel can get hers before they open the spigot to all comers.

Right? How pissed I’d be to get it at the 11th hour.
Like the last guy to die in Vietnam or something.

I’m guessing by May or June, nearly all who want a vaccine will have received it.

It's my understanding that they didn't have much to do with supporting production, though? Just approval?
