Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Houston-bound with $2 million to help Texans after winter storm
New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was traveling to Houston on Friday with more than $2 million to help Texas recover from a week of catastrophic blackouts and water outages.
“I’ll be flying to Texas today to visit with Houston Rep. Sylvia Garcia to distribute supplies and help amplify needs & solutions,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Twitter.
Earlier in the week, Ocasio-Cortez sent out fundraising appeals to her massive campaign donor network and her nearly 13 million social media followers.

Glad she is representing her NY constituents well by spending time and money in TX and bragging about it.
She said the money was raised, so maybe it's not money intended for NY.
I'm not following the deets on Texas . . . I don't know whether the assistance Texans are getting from the feds is adequate. If the funds from AOC are not misappropriated, I've got to give her credit for at least doing something, because those people must be double-dutch dying from misery there. But yes, her efforts should not be at the expense of her own constituents.
And if she can twist the knife in Ted, that's like the cherry on the sundae, yes?
BAD Cats! So cynical!

AOC has a huge social media following and she uses social media to marshal volunteers and donations to help fellow Americans in need. Look at her coordination with Rep. Garcia (@LaCongresista) of Eastern Houston, Texas. I think there is an understanding between these two that, had the situation be reversed, Rep. Garcia would similarly help AOC’s district.

Ok so she raised $4,000,000. She could do that every. single. day. for the next 445 years and still wouldn't raise the amount to cover what she wants the government to pay to "forgive" $50K in student federal loan debt.
Yes I know this borders on AOC-DS, but my point is...let's put things in perspective regarding her fiscal track record and her priorities.

The thing about AOC is that yes, she has no fiscal responsibility at all, and I wouldn't want her anywhere near the levers of power, and she's really not that bright, but it's just conceivably possible that her heart's in the right place.
I don't know what place Ted Cruz' heart is in. Presumably he has to hide it somewhere safe so that nobody can drive a stake through it.
