Well the irony is ironic, right?

The guy with the Hispanic given name takes on an Anglo nickname, and the guy with the Anglo given name takes on the Hispanic nic.

Yeah. According to Wikipedia Cruz began using his sorta-middle name "Ted" at age 13.

O'Rourke was called "Beto" during his infancy by his family. I thought it was something he adopted in college.

                                  Yeah. I did.

Weather disaster in Northeast killing 30+ people. POTUS vacations. Media says "He deserves a break before election."

Weather disaster in Texas, any deaths (I honestly don't know)? Senator vacations. "OMG the horror!"

Someone commented, "What do you expect him to have done?"

                                  Sauce, goose, gander.

The links I posted (and there are others) totally ignore Biden's response to what happened in Buffalo. Probably because there was none (haven't looked).

I don’t think people in the northeast today subjectively feel they’re living through a disaster.

Pretty sure that wasn’t the case in texas when Cruz bailed on his state.

@jon-nyc Do you actually think anyone not already predisposed to hate Cruz gave a damn about his travel plans, and that they were not just waiting for marching orders from the propaganda machine to chime in on the outrage du jour?
