She was not occupying a public office and she had to no power to transfer. She also did not incite violence to overturn election results. Trying to compare Stacy Abrams to Donald Trump is false equivalence.
Fair enough.
However, Like Trump she said the election was stolen, questioning the fundamentals of our electoral system.

But by repeating a myth about a stolen election — and amplifying it by saying that it is a product of a national conspiracy by Republicans to prevent minorities from voting — they are doing something far worse. These claims do more to undermine confidence that American elections are free and fair than anything the Russians might have done in 2016 or are plotting to do in the future. By allowing a legend to become accepted as fact, they are chipping away at the rule of law in ways that are deluding their followers into believing that they’re living in a racist and corrupt tyranny in which the system is rigged against them.
The irony is that this comes from the same party that spent much of the fall of 2016 warning that Donald Trump and his supporters would never accept defeat and worrying that democracy was under threat from loose talk that fraud was the only way he could lose. Democrats were not wrong to worry about the damage that kind of rhetoric does to the public’s faith in the system.

They're equally dreadful, and both should be banned from ever running for office again.

What is stopping a country leader from picking up the phone and calling President Biden?
Seems kind of weird to have this be a problem.Nothing.
But this is different from other presidents. And that's the point of the original post - a break from tradition.
George, I believe the previous POTUS shattered enough tradition to fill a landfill.
As bach pointed out the other day, the current POTUS failing to phone Bibi N. is not an issue to be concerned about. Other items going on between Israel and the US indicate everything is in good working order and as it should be.

I'd pay good money to read the letter that was left in the desk in the oval office, by the way. Not a lot of money, but it would be good.
President Trump and Premier Xi spoke after President Trump won election in 2016 but was not even yet inaugurated.
President Biden did not speak with Premier Xi the first time until ~20 days after inauguration.
What does that mean? Is President Biden tougher on China than President Trump?
