My wife and I both pre-registered with the state 3 weeks ago.
We both have received the first shot. Me through my doctor, my wife through CVS. We will both get the second shot this week.
Still, no action from the state, we are just pre-registered.

Received my first Pfizer poke yesterday morning. No side effects whatsoever.
I had originally thought I would get mine in June and my spouse would get hers in April being that she works in a cancer hospital. No and in fact, from what one of the radiation oncologists told her, it is the only cancer hospital in North America where the health care staff have not received priority vaccinations.

Just curious who here so far has gotten the COVID shot? Either the first or the second?
I think that @bachophile is the only one so far to have both?

Sitting in the waiting area now for those who’ve received their shot (moderna). I get to wait 30 minutes instead of 15 due to a shellfish allergy.

That doesn't make a lot of sense, given that she could bring it in among patients with already weakened immune systems. There must be more to it than I am aware of.

Strangely enough they have yet have had any outbreaks within the hospital or traceable transmissions back to the hospital since this pandemic began last March. We'll see what happens now with the variants spreading. I suspect the vaccines are now going to happen sooner rather than later. The Doctors are beginning to complain publically.

Well guess what hit the local news waves this afternoon....
We found out about it last night via text message from an OT my wife works alongside.
Scuttlebutt among the staff is that it is one of the variants either P1 or P3. If the former, that's not good.
I know someone who's going to be tested up the nose tomorrow am.

Test this am. Results Friday.
In the meantime, first Pfizer dose scheduled for 3 pm Monday. Suddenly the cancer hospital staff become priorty health care providers. How amazing!

I hope everything is OK, Renauda.
Just got an email from the State of MA saying I'll get another email tomorrow allowing me to book my shot. Not sure why they need to send two emails, but there you go. There's a big vaccination center at the Patriots stadium, so hopefully it will all be pretty straightforward.

Godspeed, Renauda.

I'm just gobsmacked that the cancer hospital wasn't given priority in the first place. Hope everything goes well from here on.

That's rough, and scary to go through again. I hope it passes soon, and that could take several days. I had a temp, aches, chest tightness, and fatigue for about 5 to 6 days before it started to go away over another few days.
Glad she got the 'one and done' version.

I just got the call - I'm booked for next Wednesday.
For some reason, the State of Massachusetts figured it would be better for me to have my vaccination in the center of Boston, rather than 1 mile away at Gillette stadium. Ah well.

At Reggie Lewis?
They told my sister to go to Reggie Lewis. She wouldn't go there because she didn't want to get mugged.
She ended up going some where in Newton or Dedham.

No, the Hynes Convention Center. I should be pretty safe there.
