I think R0 is less than 1 now and that's probably what he's keying off of. Hospitalizations is a lagging indicator. NYT has its own agenda.

If Ro <1, but there are large numbers of infected out there, isn't this a bad idea?

All the deaths caused are going to be on Biden supporters' hands. I really don't know how they sleep at night. Very sad not to care about human life.
