A member of the governor’s Covid-19 task force said the important metrics are not where the numbers are but where they are headed — and that trends are all headed downward, both across the state and in the city.

I think R0 is less than 1 now and that's probably what he's keying off of. Hospitalizations is a lagging indicator. NYT has its own agenda.

            What is the governor's goal?

I assume it is just to win the news cycle.

If he is using some planned or predetermined triggers then I think he is doing exactly the right thing. I have no idea if that is what he is doing.

If Ro <1, but there are large numbers of infected out there, isn't this a bad idea?

If the city doesn’t open for business there will be no city.

I never understood why people don’t get that.

It used to be that you could show your hate for Mr Trump by keeping businesses closed. But not anymore.

Well, that's because the Orange Man is not in the Oval Office.

All the deaths caused are going to be on Biden supporters' hands. I really don't know how they sleep at night. Very sad not to care about human life.

Silly rabbit. We laid down the hammer now that Trump is peened , and now the dance is the strategy.
