Marjorie Taylor Greene or Liz Cheney?

      God, I hope it's the latter. MTG's a psycho.

Why would anybody vote for such a person?

      Yeah, I know, patriotism.

It ain't Cheney. Unless she can get her act togather, she may lose her next race.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is more representative of the GOP’s near future. After all, Liz Cheney just got censured by her own Republican state party.

Longer term, I think the GOP wind will shift further away from MTG and a bit closer to Liz Cheney.

If Trump goes through with starting a third party, “MAGA Party” or “Patriot Party” or whatever, MTG’s base will go that way and MTG herself has to go along and migrate to Trump’s party.

If Trump does not start a third party, Trump’s influence will dissipate overtime and MTG’s current base will dither.

Either way, a bit further out, the future GOP or what remains of the GOP in the future moves away from MTG.

              Long-term? Cheney.

Short-term, it's a tie...which makes sense, since the GOP is currently fractured.

The GOP would be wise to really start supporting strong moderate conservatives. They'd win the MAGA vote by default, would win the traditional republican vote, would win the other segments (Cuban, Evangelical, etc), and would win over some independents and moderates, too.

The Biden/Harris/Bernie/AOC/left/far-left's out there would have a HELL of a time competing against a strong moderate conservative. The problem is the primaries are set up to let the wackos bubble up to the top and get all the attention.

Not that he cannot, but the patient might pull a gun on him if he tries, at least in the short term.

It sucks to be Republicans right now, not able to stop loving someone who has hurt them so, so badly.

The horrifying thing isn't that somebody would believe this, but that a large enough proportion of the electorate actually chose her to represent them.

Meanwhile, Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney are considered the outliers.

                                        Long-term?

Dude, you need to get out of the Beltway.

Well I am moving to Minnesota this year! 😂
