Goldfish. I get it.

I had a pair of goldfish while in college, George and Myrtle, named after some relatives. George jumped out of their fish bowl nearly every day, and I would check frequently to see if he needed to return to the bowl. It needed a screen over the bowl, because books blocked the air. He eventually succeeded in achieving his demise. I suspect he was trying to escape Myrtle, who was a champion at creating tremendously long strings of poo, trailing them along like a feather boa on a drag queen.

Ok, I was wrong. We’ve gone through 2 goldfish in less than a week.
If we get another one, it’ll be a betta.

Maybe the water needs to have the chlorine treated to make it safe for fishies. I use a product to treat the froggos' water. It's cheap and lasts nearly forever. I'll find a link for you. BRB

How to remove chlorine from tap water:

89th, it may be more than just chlorine in the water that needs treatment. Some of the aquarium products will do that.

Just don't drink it, m'kay?

... the second fish was a good size but either was too sensitive, or something.
Just in case it’s the “or something,” maybe mix in some holly water for extra protection.
