Not clever.
But holding Trump to a different standard than everybody else is also not clever.
They should change their general stance on censorship for everybody. But they won't do that.

If they are going to have such rules they need to hire a couple rooms full of Charles Kirk wannabes who’s job it is to enforce them on far left voices on twitter, too.
I think of they did that they’d soon find out that the best approach is not to police content that makes people feel ‘unsafe’ or is ‘wrong’. I think they’d settle on content that is illegal or direct incitement of violence only.
IOW if they witnessed their rules being applied evenly they’d be appalled.
