Anyone get the iPhone 12 Mini?

I’m getting either the iPhone 12 Pro or the Mini. I have the X (ten) now which is just a smidge smaller than the 12 Pro.
I really want the smaller “one hand phone” experience of the mini, but am afraid the typing will be oddly condensed/harder and the battery life might not be as good. I also lose the 2x telephoto lens but that’s not too bad.

Very nice phone. Great camera. The only complaint that users have is the battery size (because the phone is smaller).
As someone whose phone lives in the wireless charger, this is a non-issue for me. Have a "lipstick" charger in the car just in case.
It's a great size (smaller than my iPhone
and has a bigger screen.No complaints.

I love the way it fits in my hand. With my aging eyes, perhaps the iPhone 12 (standard) might have been a better choice, but I have no regrets on this purchase. When the 13 is released, I'll have a better feel for whether I want to go up.
That said, D4 has an 11. She said that it took a while to get used to the increased size (she had an 8 before that). Now, she loves it. The 12 is marginally smaller than the 11 (about ¼', iirc).

Glad to know! Did you find it hard to adjust to the smaller form factor at first? Do you find it noticeably more comfortable to browse with one hand? I know...lots of jokes here.

Well, I just went from an iPhone 5s to an iPhone 7 Plus.
(The price was right - it was free to me. Lol)
It is quite big for my hand, but I do like the bigger screen.

Yeah the 12 mini’s resolution shows the same amount of content as a 12, just slightly smaller (scaled down) but the point is you don’t have content cut off by the smaller size. Pretty cool. I’ll have to find a store and do a hands on test. Thanks anyway!

I was so close to mini. Only reason I went with the pro was the telephoto lens. (Lotsa kid pics)

Well, the 12 Mini and the 12 are the same thing, other than battery. The 12 Pro has the better camera, as you say. My youngest kid is 32, so....

I opted for the 12 Pro. I've been reasonably happy with it. I run with it. I run with it in my hand. The one thing I dislike (intensely) is the little flashlight feature that can be turned on without turning on the phone. I find that the light comes on in my pocket or sometimes when I'm running. It draws down the battery. From what I've read, there's no nice way to eliminate that functionality without causing other problems.

I still have an iPhone X. I ran with mine. But there's a path near me that's paved, but very uneven because tree roots have pushed up the asphalt. I ate it on that stretch one day. Hard core faceplant ate it. So now I have a cracked screen.
Just sayin', that happened.

The low light photos are also really impressive. I can take a photo in a pitch black room and it still renders a dark but somehow useful photo. Just the other day I took one in Jon’s room at 3am and he didn’t even notice!
