That’s a change, Loki. Within days of the election you actually posted that we weren’t going to hear about Covid anymore.

And we haven't, at least not in a particular way.

Random sample - FWIW (because I’m familiar with it):

The Daily is a podcast by the NYT. Picks one story from the day and does a 20 min episode on it.

Over the last 10 days, 5 episodes have been about COVID. The other 5 have been about election, and a smattering of other topics.

Another datapoint: my Canadian parents. They’re super worried about COVID now, and they don’t even have a Trump.

I’ll try all of them, what the hell,

      90 plus 95 plus 95 = 280% efficacy. What could go wrong?

LOL, bach. Count me in on that. My math might be different, but my hopes the same.

You guys must watch different news from me. Pretty much every other story I see is about Covid.

If all you do is look at the US political pages, then don't complain if all you read about is US politics.

Whichever vaccine you get, it’s gonna suck.

Participants in Moderna and Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine trials told CNBC in September that they were experiencing high fever, body aches, bad headaches, daylong exhaustion and other symptoms after receiving the shots. While the symptoms were uncomfortable, and at times intense, the participants said they often went away after a day, sometimes sooner, and that it was better than getting Covid-19.''

I don't see any statistics on how many people experienced this, or percentages. This quote seems to indicate this is widespread.

“If this proves to work, people are going to have to toughen up,” she said. “The first dose is no big deal. And then the second dose will definitely put you down for the day for sure. ... You will need to take a day off after the second dose.”

@Jolly hopefully President Trump already has a plan that has been detailed out. And hopefully President elect Biden will use that and build on that to maximize the speed of the vaccine to people

                      A word from President Obama:

“Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f**k things up,” said Obama. He also reportedly told him “You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t” regarding a possible 2020 bid. When the former VP threw his hat in the ring, Obama’s team was apparently very stern with the Biden crew, ensuring that the vice president didn’t embarrass himself or tarnish the Obama legacy with his antics (via CBS 19):

Well I know which one I'd choose, meanwhile my wife (a biochemist) keeps on saying she has concerns about both.

Probably the first world will be looking to Pfizer; developing countries get second choice.

Right, but some of us will have a certain ability to venue shop.

With the flu you get what you get. Shot or nasal. Live or not live virus.

Between the insurance coverage, the venue and the mass rollout most people will end up defaulting to what is paid for, convenient and available.

I shop around for that too. No nasal for me (can't do live virus), and always quadrivalent. I just call around. Sometimes I have to try a couple places to get the quad.

It will be harder to venue shop for Covid vaccines, might mean going out of state.

At least one of the vaccines will get a bad reputation.

If I was selling vaccine it would be OK with me if the other vaccines had a bad reputation.
