How’s your other daughter going?
Thanks for asking. She's OK. She's tested negative again, and her asthma is not as good as it could be. I have no idea what triggered that whole episode. Still afebrile and no other symptoms.
Weird.

Horrible frigging lottery.

This freakin disease is like a pit bull with a bone. So sorry to hear of the continuation of misery. Why won't this disease leave her alone, what's so special and unique about your daughter that it just hangs around, flaring up and won't go away?
George, don't answer. I'm just venting, and frustrated as is everyone here that holds you, and by extension your loved ones, in their thoughts and prayers right now.

In some people.
I think that's what it makes this disease so hard to understand...With most disease states, there are typical symptoms that are universal. Maybe not all, but common partials.
This virus does the damndest things. Two people, similar genetic make-up, similar environments. Dissimilar symptoms. It's frustrating for the patient and frustrating for the healthcare providers.

About a dozen years ago, I was training for a marathon - and in great shape. I came down with a virus about a week before the marathon. I went from being able to run 20+ miles at a time to not being able to walk more than a couple hundred feet. For months, my wife would drive me to work - leave me at the door. I only had to walk about 150 feet to my office. I'd get to my office and have to sit for half an hour of rest before I was capable of doing anything. It took a long while to recover. I remember needing to go to a pharmacy which was about 4 doors down from my building. I took the elevator down to the street, walked to the front of the building - and knew I'd never make it to the pharmacy and back - so I returned to my office.
