      So frustrating...for both of you.

This freakin disease is like a pit bull with a bone. So sorry to hear of the continuation of misery. Why won't this disease leave her alone, what's so special and unique about your daughter that it just hangs around, flaring up and won't go away?

George, don't answer. I'm just venting, and frustrated as is everyone here that holds you, and by extension your loved ones, in their thoughts and prayers right now.

Send her a treat, something she can eat, or a book, or a warm blanket or a game or something.

                                  In some people.

I think that's what it makes this disease so hard to understand...With most disease states, there are typical symptoms that are universal. Maybe not all, but common partials.

This virus does the damndest things. Two people, similar genetic make-up, similar environments. Dissimilar symptoms. It's frustrating for the patient and frustrating for the healthcare providers.

About a dozen years ago, I was training for a marathon - and in great shape. I came down with a virus about a week before the marathon. I went from being able to run 20+ miles at a time to not being able to walk more than a couple hundred feet. For months, my wife would drive me to work - leave me at the door. I only had to walk about 150 feet to my office. I'd get to my office and have to sit for half an hour of rest before I was capable of doing anything. It took a long while to recover. I remember needing to go to a pharmacy which was about 4 doors down from my building. I took the elevator down to the street, walked to the front of the building - and knew I'd never make it to the pharmacy and back - so I returned to my office.

Doxycycline was magic but it took all thirty days. And then it took months to get back to where I had been running.

On Bret Weinstein's podcast yesterday, they spent some time talking about the medication Ivermectin. Low cost, known for a long time, free in 19 African countries. They were pissed that Twitter pulled all links to the article.

Ivermectin. Weinstein is no dummy, nor is his wife Heather. Both hold Ph.D.'s in biology. Everything is politicized, and then follow the money if you can, and try to combine the two while the media ignores all, and social media is policed on what is allowed to be covered. Jesus.

Ivermectin. Anybody heard of it, especially you docs? Hope I spelled it right.

@rainman it’s a horse dewormer, very common in the veterinary/ horse world. My horse gets it orally a couple of times a year.
