They're politicians. They and their people can't storyboard worth a damn. Gotta give them a lot of flexibility.

Average people are such wooden actors.
It's just total lack of practice. It's why average people can't write, paint, or sing worth a damn, either. Put in the time and you're fine.
What's funny though is that they're politicians; you'd think they'd be a lot better at it. Clearly they grasp the concept of pretending to be somebody else.
