Interesting that no party affiliation was mentioned. That usually means they are worried about net-negative brand equity of the party label.

It's just total lack of practice. It's why average people can't write, paint, or sing worth a damn, either. Put in the time and you're fine.
What's funny though is that they're politicians; you'd think they'd be a lot better at it. Clearly they grasp the concept of pretending to be somebody else.
