Oh boy, that was a tough read, and yes, beautiful.

          I was only joking

You know, credit to the parents for the quick transition to group home. My sister (now 39) will always be a 5 year old (as Judson is a 3 year old). She can shower and read and play her iPad, but she thinks a candy bar is $100, will never live independently and has odd consumption triggers like swallowing batteries. (Not a joke, she's been in the hospital a dozen times for finding 2 AA batteries and swallowing them when someone isn't looking). Anyway, she lived with my parents until about the age 30 when they realized she needed to move to a home and they couldn't take care of her forever. She's been to a half dozen small group homes by now... I wish Judson lucky in his transition. Some group homes are better than others, caring for special needs children is a burden for parents that'll never leave their shoulders as long as they breathe.

That was a story worth reading.

89th, I’m sorry. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult that has been and is for your family.
