      Surprised it wasn't legal before. It's cheap and super nutritious. Used to be a staple of mine. I'd eat a whole chicken for lunch sometimes.

      Education is extremely important.

        Yeah I'm surprised as well. I've never looked at the SNAP program, but one would think it would be full of nutritious food (meats, veggies, fruit, dairy, cooking or baking ingredients...). It's probably Fanta soda and skittles, though.

          I suspect (without opening the link) that snap excluded prepared foods so that it would buy more and people wouldn’t waste it at McDonald’s and rotisserie chicken just got caught up in that definition. But I agree with Horace, it’s cheap and nutritious and easy for a single mom.
