@jon-nyc If you don't mind sharing, what is your Thailand schedule? I stay in Thong Lor (Sukhumvit Soi 55 in Bangkok. Currently traveling, but if schedules meet and I am back in time, maybe we could meet at Nana Plaza (Suk Soi 4)! LOL. (Not that I have ever been there of course!!!)

And that famous railway market you’ve seen videos of.

This is what it looks like up to about 1 minute before the train comes.

            IMG_1358.jpeg IMG_1362.jpeg

As the train approaches they move everything and make sure people are behind the red line.

The train about to pass me.

Great pics. Yes, sorry I will not be there. :(. In Europe right now.

Assuming the weather is good, fun to go to a rooftop bar at night. There are a lot of them all around. One I like is Octave on top of the Marriott on Soi 57

If you are going there, you can stop at my favorite local restaurant. Close to my place.
Singapore chicken rice restaurant Boon Tong
440, 5 Thong Lo, แขวง วัฒนา Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

My meal (and e-reader LOL) I get. Pork and chicken and a bottle of water. About USD$3-4. You can also get duck, but that often sells out early.

Similar meal in a Chinatown in the USA would cost about $15 these days.

I had never seen the railway. They must roll up all those awnings too? How often does the train come?
