Very nice! So you've made the move. Any issues with getting the dogs in without quarantine?

I was prepared as a boy scout to pass muster for the multiple requirements. These airlines have transporting pets. They were in those crates for 19 hours straight and I did not sleep a wink during the whole flight and when I was able to see them again at baggage claim in cagliari I rushed to them, with tears of joy to see that they were alive and alert and ready to take a major dump and piss. The one thing Italy worries about with pets coming to their country is rabies and that’s all there was no quarantine the airport personnel were just as excited to get them out of those crates as I was, they saw the emotion and Italians are all about emotion. I am home.

I had no voice as the last two days prior to the flight. I was a frantic mess trying to get two weeks worth of tasks completed in only two days, and I was constantly screaming to the world to the point of laryngitis the voice seems to have come back finally and so as the passing of this jet lag.

Hey NS, does this affect you at all? I wouldn't think so, but thought to ask.

It affected me last year when the decree came down because I was just in the beginning processes of going through what this gentleman went through as my great grandparents also immigrated to Ellis Island in 1906 and they came from a suburb of Palermo called mezzojusso. I was this close to hiring an Italian attorney firm to do the legwork of tracking down the important documents required to prove my citizenship of sanguine di jouris (right of blood). But before I could take three steps forward, the decree came down and I guess in a way the timing was perfect for me as to not have been 90% done sniffing the goal line only to get stuffed before the end zone. I never gave up on the original route to living in Italy, which was to pursue the elective residence. Visa which is intended for people like me who are retired and can improve a substantial passive income so that Italy sees this person as an asset and not a drain under their government. The bar is actually quite low in that it is only €31,000 per year that you must prove that you receive passively. If that was the actual total of my passive income, I would’ve drained it only on the rent alone in 10 months ha ha ha. With this visa in hand, I am not allowed to work for any wages here in this country whatsoever, and I feel very sorry for this man in his family to have taken a leap of faith like this, only to get shut down at the most in opportune time.

One can accept the reason advertised as to why they shut this down to only allow you to go back to generations of relationships to acquire this citizenship while his and mine are three. The advertised claim is that most of these people who acquired the citizenship, never intended to move and live in Italy anyways, and while this may be true, I sense that the timing of this edict was more intended to stop what they foresee as a huge influx of Americans desiring to get out of the USA while getting is good. And my theory goes against my grain in that I abhor statements made by US citizens of anything oppressive that occurs globally and channeling it into some conspiracy, only meant for Americans, take Covid, for example. If one recalls, the first country to take a major hit once Covid was released to the world was in fact Italy. reason number 3537 that Trump has no business handling the reigns of power in the United States as he played along with this conspiracy, so as to downplay his incompetence and handling it when it first hit our shores. He let Maga run the ball with that one and kept patting them on the head, encouraging them. And it was then that I started having a huge distaste for these people and realized how truly selfish they all are in that they defied at every turn any type of quarantine restrictions placed upon them as an assault on their free will
