They’ve installed machines that looks like a small automatic car wash when you drive in (by size and shape at least) that uses AI to record your exit and entry and apparently looks for damage and compares how it went out to how it comes back.
You don’t stop in it but there are a pair of speed bumps inside it which make sure you go slow.
Here’s the only picture I could find online. In the wild the metal enclosure is deeper - deep enough to get a 360 view of a large car, pickup, or van. And they are installed outside in the lot, not in a garage (at least at RDU).

On the other hand, who builds, maintains, and installs these devices? It might create more jobs on the other side…
