Good trend fo food. Not sure it works in other areas. But I see no reason the taxpayer should fund unhealthy food.

I feel weird commenting on situations where people don't have money and are hungry (yes I know that includes those who choose not to help themselves). Removing junk food seems like a no-brainer if the whole point is the N in SNAP.... nutrition.

I agree with the banning of junk food. I also agree with the work requirement.

Being poor sucks, but just because you are poor does not mean you cannot work.

(But I do think that there are a certain % of people on SNAP who have mental or addiction issues, which will make it hard for them to find and keep work.)

Funny, housing and education are the two areas that many economists think would definitely be cheaper with less government subsidies and more market forces…And I’ll always say competition and transparency are necessary for health care.

Healthcare housing and education all suffer from subsidized demand and restricted supply. They could all use less of each.

Yeah, government intervention has really mucked up healthcare. Trust me. Even if you look no farther than UCR.

I once had about 30 cases of diet coke that I wanted to donate to the local food pantry. They refused it - only healthy food. It seemed a bit silly. I sold them on FB marketplace.
