        It is a shockingly unregulated industry. We went through IVF for our first. During specific visits there were multiple ID checks and 2-human verification of labels and IDs, but nonetheless we were relying on the company having their shit together.

        This is a good podcast episode I listened to recently. It surrounds the scenario above... a couple has their 2nd child via IVF and after a few months the dad is "paranoid" that the child is not theirs. They find out the child is not related and have an "impossible choice" on what to do when they do find their biological baby. I'll keep the details out and if you listen to it, it was a rare time where I shed a few tears during it... what an emotional gut punch and decision to make.
