I’m not an observer. In fact, I am not even sure anyone of note here pays any real attention to it.

I only observe 11 November Remembrance Day and, in the past several years, 27 January Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Trump deletes his Truth Social post:

US President Donald Trump has removed a social media video which included a racist clip depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.

…. Republican Senator Tim Scott - who is black - called for the president to remove the post, describing it as "the most racist thing I've seen out of this White House".

The White House initially defended the clip as an "internet meme video" and told critics to "stop the fake outrage".

Bill Maher: Trump shared a video depicting the Obamas as apes. In his defense, he didn't mean to hit "share." He just meant to hit "like."

Today marks the last day of 2026's Black History Month. As we bring this year's celebration of Black History to a close, I'd like to remind all of you that you're probably racist, and racism is wrong.

But if you really want to put an end to American racism, take Morgan Freeman’s advice from 20 or more years ago, and “stop talking about it”.
