Tesla adopting subscription model

For FSD. $99/mo.
I already pay a 10.99 subscription for my Mazda. I didn’t realize when I bought it but the remote start feature went subscription after 36mo. I use it enough to subscribe. Hate when my car is too cold or too hot.
It sorta makes sense since Mazda needs to pay for cell data to have it. Though I’m sure they pay a fraction of that.

Subscription models are all over. I hate them, but almost impossible to avoid. I use a financial tool, mainly for budgeting. Got rid of my old one as they went to a subscription model. Found another one that does exactly what I need, and is a onetime fee. (Some of the upgrades do cost, but only if you want get that upgrade).

This reminds me, I need to check my monthly expenses to see what subscriptions I have that I'm not reminded about. Weird how companies like to send you plenty of communication except reminders about a monthly charge you have.

Every month I get an email from not-Netflix warning me that my subscription is about to expire due to an out-of-date credit card. Maybe one day it will be true, which would actually be pretty good.
