Misleading. With Obama most were at the border. The interior deportations mostly involved USCIS sending someone a deportation notice after losing their immigration case in court. Physical enforcement actions were limited and targeted at individuals with criminal records.

It was not militarized masked agents in tactical gear sweeping through neighborhoods rounding up large numbers of people.

I think if Trump followed the same tactics you’d hear some griping from the usual suspects but he wouldn’t be 18 points underwater on what was once his most popular issue.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

Yeah exactly. Today it is "show me your papers" and "your accent is why I stopped you" and "your skin color is why I stopped you". It's insane.

Obama when he took over actually stopped the workplace enforcement (aka jobsite raids) and moved instead to prison enforcement (aka illegals who are in jail for crimes).

This article has a good analysis of Obama's deportation record: https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/obama-record-deportations-deporter-chief-or-not

Oh how refreshing it would be to have a clear policy such as this:

Priority 1: National security threats, noncitizens apprehended immediately at the border, gang members, and noncitizens convicted of felonies or aggravated felonies as defined in immigration law.
Priority 2: Noncitizens convicted of three or more misdemeanors or one serious misdemeanor, those who entered or re-entered the United States unlawfully after January 1, 2014, and those who have significantly abused visa or visa waiver programs.
Priority 3: Noncitizens subject to a final order of removal issued on or after January 1, 2014.

He probably still think Obama was "light weight" and his administration "clown car."

To be clear Trump mostly campaigned on something similar to what Obama did. But Miller’s priority is numbers of (brown?) people deported not numbers of criminals deported so he’s using a different approach.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

Yeah Trump campaigned on deporting criminals. Currently that makes up just 1 out of every 5 of those being detained for deportation.

His two most popular issues in the campaign were inflation and immigration. He’s heavily underwater on both - even more so on inflation. There it was a question of knowingly over promising (he campaigned on bringing prices ‘back down’). With immigration it was changing the focus to numbers rather than border enforcement + targeting criminals.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

As far as being unfairly treated, if you find that you're completely surrounded by people who think you're an asshole, at some point you surely have to stop and consider that maybe they're not the ones with a problem?

                  I was only joking
