I think we got 24" altogether - somebody told me we're due another 6 tonight - I'm hoping he's just yanking my chain as the office is open tomorrow.

My little battery-powered electric shovel did pretty well - I took it out 3 times. But I ended up with blower-envy as the guy across the road unleashed the beast.

    I was only joking

I had a plow at the last house which was an upgrade from a corded electric. My problem here is that my primary shoveling is a front walk, my garage which I don't use for the car is in the back of the house with the driveway entrance on the side. So it wouldn't be practical to get a big plow up to my sidewalk. So those battery powered things look attractive to me. They're sold out now so I'll probably get one in the spring when they're cheaper anyway.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

The electric thing is great for up to about 4 inches as long as it's not heavy/wet snow. It cleared our driveway earlier in the year in about 10 minutes when there was maybe 3", so if you go early and often it's really useful. It's no good with heavier stuff as it gets clogged and doesn't have the power to blow it. It only cost $350, so if it lasts 5 years I'm good.

What model do you have? I might consider something like that.

Ugh, we almost always have wet snow.

And there’s a decent chance of a mid-Atlantic Blizzard this weekend. The Euro’s popped it up 3 times in a row and it starts in less than 100 hours…

Earthwise SN74018 - we got it 3 years ago. It's not exactly built to last for ever, but it's done the job so far.

My forecast shows 5-6” for each of Saturday and Sunday. That’s doable with my shovel.
