Is TNCR dying?
-
The two most prolific posters left in the last year. As have several less prolific posters. I don’t think it’s dying, but I doubt it will return to what it was…

I would but I'd be accused of TDS. Jolly and George both left in the Spring, I think (my guess) is it was exhausting to constantly ready and/or defend Trump's extremely chaotic and controversial first 100 days, especially as some of the criticisms were coming from traditionally conservative posters who normally they don't have to debate with.
I hope they return, among others. I know I left from about 2012-2020 for various reasons, mostly due to a career that didn't let me check in on TNCR during the day and a life as a newlywed and new dad.
@mark I noticed the decreased traffic I think in April, and lately it's been extra slow and I've had the same thought you did. But @mik is also partially right, it slows during the holidays.
Either way......I can't imagine TNCR will ever really die as long as we keep paying @klaus his ransom money to keep the servers online. There will always be a knucklehead or two with news to share or opinions to voice.

Haven't seen @aqua-letifer for a while either. How's he doing?

He's fine. I'm in touch with him on Substack. He's spending his writing time on more artistic pursuits. Quite a talented poet. George and I text quite a bit and I see him on FB.
I do miss Jolly and Copper. I do not think it's a matter of being tired of defending Trump, but a deep conviction that what Trump is doing is what the nation needs. In some ways I agree with that but I'm not crazy about the heavy-handed way he goes about things.

Did we ever ascertain whether the Wacky Iraqi thing was real?

@Mik said in Is TNCR dying?:
Yeah, he was a real guy.
I know he was real, but there was a question as to whether he really died.
-
He and Lucy visited me in Brooklyn and stayed in my apartment in Canary Wharf when he came up for treatment. He even had a key to use it when I wasn’t there.
I was supposed to see him towards his final days but he called and canceled. He was obviously unwell.

Apple
Rick
Phlebas
Vince
LarryOne every four years on average.
I didn’t know, or at least don’t recall, that Rick had passed away. When was that?
I remember Phlebas sudden passing. For some reason I also recollect there was some controversy surrounding it, can’t remember though what it was about.
