just on browser. iOS version is fine. But more than half the prompts I try for the past couple days in any browser (tried Edge and Chrome, incognito and not, logged into subscription and not), show an error when I enter a prompt, or sometimes just provides no response at all. This has been happening for two days. I am moving to Gemini. I am not currently enrolled in the community college, but my most recent class was within 2025 a few months ago. They have a free 12 month subscription to their advanced version for students. My .edu email address is still valid.

First Amazon, then ChatGPT... dude, the digital world is telling you to become a fig farmer.

One of the perks of TX climate is that I got a handful of delicious figs just yesterday. Those'll surely be the last of the season. That's about 6 months of a steady but slow drop of ripe figs this year.

I haven't noticed it but I'm rarely using the desktop version these days.

Gemini has been fine for me.

Got my free 12 months of Gemini Pro for being a student for which I'm being reimbursed by my company. Nice. Liking Gemini so far. But Mandarin tones remain the final boss of natural language for AIs. Neither ChatGPT nor Gemini can do them when they try to give examples in mixed english and chinese.

But when they speak totally in Mandarin without trying to mix in English, it seems they can do the tones. I'm still trying to work out a good way to use them as a study partner.
