I got back from golf today at about 9:00.

There were 10-12 guys in my driveway with 2 bulldozers and half the driveway was torn up.

I expected this to happen on Wednesday - maybe.

I am so fed up with this builder not telling me what is going on.

I lost my mind and came across the front law waving my hands and telling the guys to take their equipment and get out of my driveway so I could get my wife's car.

I was screaming and cursing like I haven't screamed and cursed since high school.

They took the equipment and got out. I got my wife's car out of the garage so they could go back to work.

They were all standing in the street just staring at me. I was crazy.

Then the builder's rep showed up - it was his fault. I thanked the construction guys and went after the builder. He said it wasn't his fault - it was his boss the division manager. I got the division manager on the phone, he showed up at the house 3 minutes later.

So I chewed him out for a while. I think the construction guys enjoyed it.

Anyway, they went back to work on repairing the driveway while the division manager apologized and made stupid excuses and eventually went home.

This builder has been failing to notify me about things for a year and a half.

For some reason, I was expecting a punchline. Sorry that wasn't a joke and you're having to deal with this crap.

Why do we park in a driveway but drive on a parkway?

I don't suppose you took video. That would be most entertaining.

I'm like you in that it takes a LOT to make me raise my voice in anger but once you have put in enough effort look out.

It's been a year and a half of chewing the builder out for not telling me things.

Ripping up the driveway without telling me pushed me over the line.

I knew the driveway work was coming in a couple days, but today was a surprise. And it would have stranded my wife's car if I didn't come home when I did.

The guy driving the bulldozer that was doing the wrecking was definitely amused at me screaming at the foreman.

Yeah, firing a single shot would have been crazy.

Emptying a magazine would have been sane...
