At Cocoa Beach in Florida. South of Cape Canaveral.

Here’s video I took from the beach at 2:44am this morning of a space x launch. Was 20 miles south it. Details in description of video including a few cool things I think. At end you can see the first stage (lower half of rocket that splits off and lands on drone ship) descending through clouds, which is unique from the beach view given the distance. That’s about 100 miles away.

I lived a few miles inland from there as a kid. We were about 15mi as the crow flies. Heard them from in the house and could see them from the yard. Better view on the beach though.

It was still 305 when I was a kid. Of course the population has almost tripled since then so they added a bunch of area codes.

That's very cool, 89. Definitely on my bucket list.

              I was only joking

We're going back next Thanksgiving week, if there's another launch I hope it's during the day and I can get closer. At 20 miles away the sound took a good 1.5 minutes or so to reach me!
