    I'm tired just reading them.

correlate mountain climbers with divorces, I dare you.

But I did like this one and advocate it regularly.

        1. Let go of resentment. When you forgive someone, you release the prisoner, and the prisoner isn’t them… it’s you.

obviously one must understand others in order to understand oneself. That's actually baked into our psychology.

            so I did,and will do.

            1. If you have a positive thought about someone, don’t keep it to yourself—share it immediately. Encouragement defies the laws of physics: When you give energy, you also receive it.

            It's actually hard.

            1. Eat real food. Not too much. Don’t eat garbage. Binge occasionally. Fast occasionally. That’s the diet.

no. That's not the diet. Just to let you know that I am paying attention.

            Education is extremely important.

And if you have a negative thought? Let slip the dogs of war.

My problem with this guy is he seems to view himself as ubermensch. I find him an insufferable buttinsky.

I barely made it to number 3 when he said you need to be able to eat your deodorant and soap. Ok.

Some good advice but also a lot of bullshit. For instance, he seems to be prone to the naturalistic fallacy.

Yeah as I said next door he’s way too down on modern medicine for my taste and I’m totally fine with not being able to eat my deodorant.

But there’s some good stuff in there all the same.

Which piece of advice did you find particularly compelling?

I recently had to sit through a retirement speech by one of our senior Executives. He droned on for what seemed like hours with lists of these kind of aphorisms.

As I left, I overheard somebody say 'Thank God he's retiring'.

                            I was only joking
