A better term would be “occupying positions within….”

Im sorry we no longer use violent military imagery such as ‘occupy’. These people hold positions. The appropriate image is a hug. A friendly hug with consent freely given beforehand.

Positions sounds a bit sexual. You may need to go for retraining.
